My name is Jason Shaw (@ufjason99) and I am a professional photographer based in Los Angeles but I suffer from what has become known as Wanderlust (a great desire to travel and explore)!  I first got into photography while documenting my adventures with traveling and aviation.

All of this started with an iPhone but I soon realized that I wanted more from my photographs and picked up a Canon DSLR.  The photography bug continued to grow inside of me and so I expanded my photography into more and more of my life.

I am based in Los Angeles and during the day I work as an engineer for an aerospace company.  One of my primary hobbies is flying and I am a both a private pilot (airplanes) and part 107 licensed sUAS operator (drone pilot).  In addition to flying for adventure, I am also an avid traveler.  My ultimate goal is to visit all of the countries of the world.  I keep a current list of places that I have visited here on my website.  One of my main goals with my photography is to inspire others to travel and see the amazing places around the globe.  I try to accomplish this by giving the viewer a small glimpse into what it was like being there through my photographs.

My list of other hobbies is quite long but some of them include off-roading (in my Jeep Wrangler), surfing, SCUBA, hiking/canyoneering, beach volleyball and just about anything else that leads me to my next adventure.

I get a lot of requests and do license my photos and stock video footage as well as work new commissioned work.  I do commercial work, including aerial photography, head shots, portraits, events and much more.  Send me an email and let me know what you had in mind.
