The Carnival Legend is one of the Spirit-class ships that houses about 2,100 guests. It last had a major update in 2014 and this is a tour and review of it as of November 2019.
CARNIVAL LEGEND | ROOM TOUR
Our room (cabin #4123) was one of the obstructed view rooms on deck 4 which means that it has a floor-to-ceiling window that spans the width of the room. However, it has an obstructed view because of the life boats. The cost of these rooms are not much different that an interior room but at least give you a view to the outside to see the weather and/or and let you know whether you are cruising or in port. We strategically chose one of the rooms that was between two life boats so that we had a less obstructed view and it worked out great. These rooms are also a bit bigger than the interior rooms so we had a bit more room to store our stuff. We aren't one to spend a lot of time in our room while cruising so it doesn't make sense for us to spend the extra money on a balcony or suite.

As with most cruise ships, Carnival Legend is a floating city that offers you plenty to do while at sea. There are various pools and hot tubs to spend time in as well as lots of options to soak up the sun. There is also a running track and gym for those looking to stay in shape while consuming lots of food from the many eateries on board. If you are tired of the sun, there is a spa where you can book a variety of different treatments or just warm up in the sauna. There is a casino and enough places to get an adult beverage that you will never have to wait in line. For the kid in you, there are waterslides that will get your adrenaline pumping. When on a cruise, the ship is not just a place to sleep but part of the experience so you should carefully consider that when choosing which one to book.

The Carnival Legend isn't one of the new mega ships that have been popularly advertised in recent years but is still a pretty big boat. One of the things that always surprises me is that even though there is 2,000+ guests on board, we never have to wait in line for anything that we wanted to do. Whether it was the buffet, a table at the restaurant, a covered lounge at Serenity or seats at a show, there never seemed to be a crowd. With that being said, the ship's decor was a little tacky compared to our last ship, the Carnival Fascination. And despite just being redone 5 years prior, looked a little dated. However, the staff on board the Carnival Legend was some of the best we have experienced yet. I talk about that more in our review of the cruise if you want to read about it here. Overall, we were happy with the ship and would sail on the Carnival Legend again.
