Flying to Catalina During COVID-19

AIRPORT IN THE SKY - CATALINA

I have written blogs about flying to Catalina many times but we made our first flight out there since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world a few weeks ago. While most of the island was still shutdown, including the restaurant at the airport that serves one of my favorite tri-tip sandwiches in southern California, it was still worth the trip. A couple of my co-workers came along for their first Los Angeles flight and were not disappointed with the views. The airport has been open and the restaurant has now re-opened so make the trip. Also, if you are looking for a place to wow someone with the views from the air, a flight to Catalina is the answer. I took the photo below of Two Harbors but the remaining photos were taken by them.
