KERN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

One of my friends got a new camera and wanted to try out some night exposure shots so we decided to fly up to Kern Valley airport to try out some long exposure photography. Kern Valley Airport is unique in that it has a campground that you can camp right at the airplane. It happened to be the weekend that Mt San Antonio College, a school that I attended, was doing their annual fly-in. The sunset flight up to Kernville was very scenic and the landing was quite challenging due to the tight location. The campground was great and proved to be a perfect place to take pictures of the airplanes with the Milky Way in frame.
