Vans BMX Pro Cup at the U.S. Open of Surfing 2018

Summer in Huntington Beach means another year of the U.S. Open of Surfing. But, surfing is just one of the draws of the event, BMX is one of my favorites and this year, the Vans BMX Pro Cup was showing off why it is a crowd favorite.
We watched the girls finals and then the mens finals before being amazed by the high jump competition in the end. It was just a fun day so I tried out my new Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L II to see how it performed at sports photography. I was't disappointed as it really let me zoom in on the action and capture shots that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to get. I hope you enjoy the shots.
