BIG SUR, CALIFORNIA

A last minute decision to drive up the coast took us to our first stop at Oceano Dunes SVRA at Pismo Beach. We took the Jeep out to drive on the beach and then through the dunes. We only had a short time there because we wanted to get up to Big Sur before sunset. The drive up the coast was amazing as always. We tried finding a place to stay for the night but due to the holiday season, everything was booked. Along the way, we stopped and took pictures of the sunset along one of the most popular roads in the world. We stopped at Fernwood Resort Bar & Grill for dinner before heading North towards Salinas for the night. We also stopped at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park to see McWay Falls. I was able to take some long exposure photographs there and blend them together. It would be a great shot if I had a camera that would do better at higher ISO. It was completely black out which allowed for a great view of the stars but made the details of the beach/waterfall come out very noisy. We went on to Bixby Bridge, which allowed for more long exposure photographs.
