PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIFORNIA

I finally got a chance to visit Will Rogers State Park and check out one of the polo games. The Will Rogers Polo Club was the site of the 20th annual C.D. LeBlanc Memorial Tournament. The field is situated such that if you get there early enough, you can grab a spot that backs up to the field. This is exactly what I did and opened up the back of the Jeep which allowed me the opportunity to relax in the shade while watching the matches. I was excited to find out that there was a play-by-play commentator calling all the shots and explaining how polo works since this was my first polo match.

If you haven't had a chance to catch a polo game at Will Rogers, you are really missing out and should pack a picnic basket and head out for a day of fun in the sun. They play Saturdays from 2PM to 5PM and Sundays from 10AM to 1PM but make sure to check the schedule here.
